11/21/07 - The extra cloth is trimmed and a fill coat of epoxy is added.

11/23/07 - After a major struggle to get the deck off, the inside of the hull is ready to be sanded.
11/24/07 - The inside of the hull is scraped and sanded in prep for fiberglassing.
11/25/07 - Fiberglass cloth is laid out and smoothed over.
11/26/07 - The inside of the hull is fiberglassed.

11/27/07 - The inside of the deck is sanded and small gaps are filled with epoxy.
11/28/07 - Fiberglass cloth is spread on the underside of the deck.

11/29/07 - The coaming wall is cut to match the contour of the recess.
The coaming lip is made of 12 strips of very thin wood. They are being laminated together here.
The hatches are drawn out using a template from the plans.
The hatches are cut out.
11/30/07 - A bunch of strips are glued together to make bulkheads.
The bow and stern tips are filled with thickened epoxy.
The bulkheads are fiberglassed on one side.

The forward hatch has holes cut in it for magnets.
The aft hatch has the magnets installed. The fiberglass tape on top of the magnets will keep them in place and from getting wet.
12/2/07 - The edges of the hatch cut-outs are sealed with epoxy.
The coaming lip is epoxied to the coaming wall.
The backside of the bulkheads is fiberglassed.
The underside of the coaming is filleted.
12/4/07 - The bulkheads have been cut to their rough shapes.
12/6/07 - The hatch lips are made from a fiberglass layup.
Sand is placed over the layup to ensure all the fiberglass cloth lays flat.
12/7/07 - The sand and plastic are removed.
The outside edges of the lips are trimmed.
The ouside surface of the coaming is fiberglassed.
The hatch lips are epoxied to the underside of the deck.
12/9/07 - The rudder cable exits are built and shaped.
A third cable exit is epoxied in place. This will be the guide for the cord that raises and lowers the rudder.
The footbrace studs are epoxied into place.
12/10/07 - The coaming is finally epoxied into place.
12/11/07 - A small lip is left on the underside of the coaming so it can be filleted with epoxy.
Tubing is epoxied into place for the rudder retracting cord.
Fiberglass tape is hot glued into place on the hull.
12/12/07 - Fiberglass cloth is laid over the coaming.
The coaming is fiberglassed.
The underside of the deck-coaming joint.
The deck is taped to the hull with strapping tape. A thin bead of epoxy is run around the sheer joint to reinforce it.
12/13/07 - Fiberglass tape is applied to the inside of the sheer joint.
The extra fiberglass is trimmed and a fill coat is applied to the coaming.
12/16/07 - The outside of the sheer joint is rounded off. Any gaps were filled with epoxy.
12/18/07 - The outside of the sheer joint is covered with fiberglass tape.
12/19/07 - The cable exits for the rudder control cables are epoxied into place.
The aft bulkhead is partially filleted.
12/20/07 - The forward bulkhead is installed and filleted.
Padeyes are installed for the hatch leashes.
The SmartTrack Footbraces are installed onto the studs.
Guide tubes for control lines are fiberglassed in place. This officially completes the construction of this boat!!
12/21/07 - The hull is sanded and ready to be varnished.
The deck is fully sanded.
12/22/07 - I pulled the boat outside to wash the sanding dust off.
The next step is varnishing.

12/29/07 - The hull is washed down with water and then laquer thinner.
One half has been varnished.
The hull has the first coat of varnish on it.
12/31/07 - The bow inlay shines nicely under the varnish.
Varnishing the hull is complete.
1/1/08 - Happy New Year's! This shot shows the contrast between the varnished and unvarnished parts of the boat.
The deck has the first coat of varnish on it.
The hatches are varnished.
1/3/08 - The boat is wet sanded between varnish coats.
The final coat of varnish is on the deck.
1/5/08 - The rudder bracket is installed.
The rudder is mounted and the cables are attached.
A good view of the control lines going into the hull.
Soft padeyes, deck bungies and the bow safety line are installed.
The seat is put into place.
